If I could get paid to do anything that I wanted to, it would be to learn and understand. I would devote myself to reading the views, opinions and critiques of others so that I could get a global picture. I pride myself on being a very informed individual. I have to look at both sides of the story no matter what the topic might be. Stephen R. Covey once said seek first to understand and then to be understood. I wholeheartedly believe in this concept. I think that if everyone in the world could do this, then there wouldn’t be as much fighting and a lot fewer wars. With this belief, I would love it if I could just be paid to learn as much as there is to learn about everything. I know that this isn’t necessarily possible, but I would love it if I could accomplish it. I could then say that the decisions and the choices I made were informed, and not ignorant. I could say that I know exactly what the opposing view thinks and what they believe and I still disagree. It seems like there are so many people in this world that make uninformed, or worse, misinformed decisions and they often cause huge problems. If I could get paid to do anything, it would be to get and be fully informed.
